Plexamp Hi-Res RPI4 (with HAT)

I’ve managed to get Plexamp up and running on an RPI with Allo DigiOne Signature HAT but Plexamp only outputs 16/44 so my hi-res files don’t play at full quality, although it still sounds great. Is there any chance for this to incorporated into Plexamp? I am looking for a solid reason to cancel Roon which I love but in a pandemic I cannot justify the price any longer - Thanks.

I have the same request. With the upcoming Plex to Plex casting, using Plex for audiophile class music.

John Darko (An YouTube audiophile reviewer who has had over 3 million views on different audio streaming solutions) just did a couple of YouTube videos on Plexamp allowing one to take their music out of the house, making him a huge Plexamp fan. But he has been a huge ROON and a Digione Signature fan (Using RoPieee as the player on the Raspberry Pi). In a Roon environment the Digione allows Roon to have a remote player that delivers exceptional sound quality.

I would like to do is get him the code needed to run PlexAmp on his Digone signature. I suspect this might help him to appreciate Plex in the home, instead of just on the road. DAHood can you share your code and setup?

DaHood2K131, Can you share the installer that you used and the setup description of the DigiOne?

Here is the guide to installing headless PlexAmp on a Raspberry pi: PlexAmp-installer for Raspberry Pi with armv7l HW

It incorporates the setup for the Hifiberry or a clone.

For the allo digione:
Add the config. to /boot/config.txt
dtoverlay=allo-digione

You may also want to comment out the dtparam=audio=on line in the config.txt to disable the “internal soundcard” of the Raspberry.
#dtparam=audio=on

Hope it helps!

Thank you

I want this not only for RPi but also for desktop and ios.
