Yeah, we’d need complete logs to do anything. if it’s super easy to reproduce, wait until it happens and then upload Plexamp logs without stopping playback or anything else, while the two tracks are overlapping.

So if I look a your logs, I see Sweet Fades doing some overlapping. [CleanShot 2025-04-08 at 17.07.12@2x] Some of those overlaps are in the 5-15 second range. Is this possibly what you’re noticing?

Thank you for the help. I turned off Sweet Fades and have not had the problem since. I am shocked that in the four years I have been using Plex and Plexamp, this has been my only bug. Keep up the great work.

FWIW, this bug is fixed in the next release. Turning off Sweet Fades essentially prevents the bug from manifesting, usually when you have Sweet Fades enabled and strict mode for Sample Rate Matching.

Hi, I’m still experiencing this issue on 4.12.3 when using the android app to control my headless plexamp on Ropieee using a raspberry pi 4. I have tried disabling Sweet Fades, but the issue persists. I don’t want to turn strict mode off because I have music in various sample rates and bit depths …

What exactly is the issue? Is it overlapping the tracks completely, or only a little bit? Post Plexamp logs after it occurs so we can have a look.
