Admittedly I’m running an older version of plexamp so please let me know if this has been fixed. I want to access the ‘Share link’ option for non Musicbrainz verified songs with another User on my own account
Why am I not able to simply ‘Share link’ for a customisable self hosted library. I understand where the user is from a different account but to not have this option makes no sense. All my music is tagged but most of it is not the standard Artist/Album structure. Therefore I’m unable to use the ‘Share link’ with another user. Please help me understand.
Also the share image and write to NFC tag options seem like overkill when you haven’t sorted this basic option.

Sorry, we require things shared to be “matched” so that we can fall back to a web page for them if the recipient doesn’t have Plexamp.

Don’t get me wrong, I love most of what Plexamp does and appreciate all the devs efforts. This issue though robs the user of sharing songs in custom albums with other users on their own account. That feeling of sharing brings joy to the user who has opted out of music stealing/streaming services.
The need for ‘matched’ and a fall back web page is such a needless limitation. Appreciate the reply.

i can understand your frustration, it’s not needless, it’s done to ensure a good experience for the recipients of the shares.
