The problem: for some reason Plexamp began to stop playing to my Chromecast audio whenever I’d connected or disconnected my Xiaomi Redmi 13 (Android 14 UP1A.231005.007) phone to the power.
Since this began to occur, I’d changed some Plexamp app settings in the phone:
Disabled pause app activity if unused.
Battery saver changed to no restrictions
I’d just tested in an iPhone same settings and this behavior does not occur.
I would think the most likely culprit was some sort of battery save issue as Android (especially on non-Google devices) can be quite aggressive about it.
If you feel like it, try to generate some clean logs for the issue:
stop playback (hold pause), force quit the app and restart
To me it’s something external to the app, that’s why immediately
I changed the battery parameter but still occurs.
New logs uploaded as per the instructions.
To be even more clear. When connect or disconnect the power the audio stops but I can see the media it’s still playing in the app.
Let me restart the phone and test again. Still occurs after restarting the phone.
So, this just happened again but in a very different way.
I was playing music from my browser to my Google Chromecast and then I disconnected from power the Android device that I previously reported here, and the audio stopped.
Obviously there not should be a connection between my browser and my Google Chromecast except it kind of does. To power my Google Chromecast and my Android Device I’m using an Anker changer (model: A2348) which has 2 connections, an USB A and an USB C.
I switched to another charger brick and the behavior didn’t occured. Maybe it has something to do in how this brick transition it’s power.
