Your plexconnect is on 192.168.1.163 and PMS on 192.168.178.10 correct?

Hi NZSol,

my pms and plexconnect are on the same computer, so both on 192.168.1.163

modified that now NZSol,

i think certificates are the problem. when i go to https://192.168.1.163:443
 it is giving me an sll error, or no connection or no certificate..

Did you double click the certificate and install to the PC which has plex connect?

I'm technical enough to do the new Plex ATV 3 work around and I think I did everything correctly, however I'm receiving the message "trailers unavailable. try again later"

I'm using the latest PlexConnect files, latest Plex Media Server, and one of the newest versions of Python.  The computer for my plex server is a Windows XP SP3 with 2GB of ram, which ran the PlexConnect perfectly before the ATV update.

Does anyone have ideas as to why mine won't work?  Here is my log file:

What is the exact version number of python that you are using? And please post the contents of your settings.cfg file.

Unfortunately I'm at work and only thought to grab the log file.  I'll have to get the config file and python version later.  Thanks.

Your config has ip-pms as 192.168.178.10?

PlexGDM=True...

Okay, I wrote earlier today and now have my log and config info below.  Again, my computer has 2GB of ram, is running XP SP3, ran plex until the updates were pushed to my ATV3.  I have the newest PlexConnect files, newest PMS (9.5.4), and Python is version 2.7.5.

Here is my log file:

ip_dnsmaster = 8.8.8.8
loglevel = Normal
ip_pms = 192.168.178.10
enable_plexgdm = True
port_ssl = 443

In the settings.cfg file, try using an absolute path to your trailers.pem file, in the appropriate format for your operating system

institute - cert path is made absolute in WebServer.py. Also there would be a "cert not found" warning...

steve - is this, how your log ends?

PlexConnect's WebServer doesn't get the request to serve application.js - Are you running a firewall, blocking port 443? Is there any port forwarding in your router? A virtual machine that could interfere? Anything that would stop aTV to send a https request to PlexConnect?

I have a wireless Netgear router.  I can get into it and make a change if needed.  However I'm not too technical, but I can take directions well.

Here is my latest log file after I reopened PlexConnect.  Is it okay?

Yes. So far log looks nice to me.

But you didn't touch your aTV while recording this...

Baa, I didn't see any reference to the cert file path in the log posted above so I thought he was on a not quite new version of Plexconnect. If that is the case he should update today.

Fair enough... but he said "I have the newest PlexConnect files, newest PMS (9.5.4), and Python is version 2.7.5."

For now I going to believe him. :-)

So just to be clear, the cert file path check only appears when log level is set to high?

Baa:  I'm trying to paste in an image, but I'm having difficulty.  My Netgear router, in the services, has entry #8 for port 443.  Would this be stopping it from working?

Institute11:  I downloaded the newest zip file from https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect  two days ago, so hopefully that's good.

If I may join the conversation, as Baa pointed out I have the same problem. I had my Mac firewall on, but turning it off brought about no change. I also run little snitch, but PlexConnect has all permissions. (And as I said, yesterday evening it ran flawlessly with - at least to my eyes - the same conditions.)
