PMS 1.40.1.8120 Forgetting "Edition" information

After installing 1.40.1.8120, my system did a metadata refresh and began forgetting Edition information tied to movies. Digging into it, it seems that if a Movie was only named as an edition at the file level and not the folder level, Plex cannot see the information. If an edition was tagged at the folder level the edition information looks to be kept.

For Example:

This film loses it’s Edition Tag
/Movies/Avatar (2009)/Avatar (2009) - 1080p {edition-Collector’s Extended}.mkv

This film keeps it’s Edition Tag
/Movies/Apocalypse Now (1979) {edition-Redux}/Apocalypse Now (1979) {edition-Redux} - 1080p.mkv

Previously both methods worked.
