Plex Server forgetting Edition information and Ignoring {edition-[Edition Name]} naming convention

I’ve been using the editions feature since it was released, naming my folders and media with the {edition-[Edition Name]} tags and noticed today that Plex recently “forgot” all my editions and is no longer tagging them in the web client or Apple clients.

Refreshing metadata on the items does not work. I can manually tag them in the web client, but Plex is not recognizing any of the folder tagged Editions I have.

For example, I have multiple editions of Blade Runner in my Library named as such:

This is how they appear in the clients:

Previously, they were all tagged with their editions and had individual artwork for each edition.

I’m seeing this will all movies that I had separate editions previously tagged.

Anyone have any ideas?

(Library) Edition titles were not being saved to the database correctly (PM-2474)

I’m currently running beta 1.41.4.9399 and seeing this issue still. Server is macOS.

Move the files out of the library, scan, and empty the trash. Then move them back.

Thanks, yeah, doing the Plex Dance does seem to fix the issue in 1.41.4.9339… unfortunately I’ll need to rebuild the posters and backgrounds
