PMS and its libraries no longer appear

My iOS clients can no longer see my PMS on my internal LAN and there are no available options to manually add a server in the app

My environment:

  • Lifetime PlexPass subscription (purchased 2017)
  • PMS Version 1.41.6.9685 in a docker container under Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
  • iOS client 2025.15.0 (1053) on iPhone and iPad

What’s broken:

  • In the iOS app on multiple devices, my PMS and its libraries no longer appear in the Plex app. I get the “No Libraries Found” screen like this one
  • I have tried removing and reinstalling the app on one iPhone and one iPad with the same broken result.
  • The most maddening thing about this is: There is nowhere in the iOS Plex app to manually enter an IP or hostname for a server to try and reconnect everything.

What’s working (all on my internal LAN - have not tested remote access):

  • Plex web app (on several devices including multiple iOS browsers)
  • Roku app - but only after manually re-entering my PMS server connection info

I’m not sure if it happened in the most recent update or if it was two revisions back, but my iOS clients are totally broken as of some time in the last couple of weeks.

extremely frustrating and hard to understand.

Do you have IPv6 enabled?

Almost the same on Android, but I’ve totally lost the Libraries button.

Interesting that we both use Docker for our PMS.

@bigwheel Can you be more specific with your question? do i have ipv6 enabled where? on the docker host? in the Plex docker container? the iOS clients?

it’s all default in my case.

If you can provide any insight into how network topology might impact the updated iOS client that would be helpful from my end.

In server network settings. If not then please provide app logs so we can see how the app is trying to connect to server
