Long Time plex user, have PlexPass. Installing PMS on new Windows 11 PC. Appears as though PMS not being recognized as there are no options showing to add/edit/play local media. Have tried install many times running as administrator. Totally lost on what to do, never had this issue.
Make sure to finish the setup by accessing your newly installed server through its local IP address from within the same subnet.
- If you’re on the same machine, open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
- If you’re on a different machine inside the same network, open http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web
This should bring up a dialog where you’re asked to name your server and link it to your account (it’ll also offer you to create a first set of libraries, though you can do that at any time later). After linking your server to your account you can also access it through other apps incl. the hosted version of the Plex web app (https://app.plex.tv/desktop).
