I’ve been encountering some very weird behavior the last few months. Every time I add an episode to a TV series, Plex will remove and re-add the season to the database, and sometimes remove and re-add the entire series.
This really affects sync / cloud sync / optimized versions because it is breaking the original paths that I set up. For example, after PMS removes and then re-adds a season, I have to go into sync on all of my devices, delete the last sync relationship, and re-establish a new one. Bit of a hassle.
PMS is on Windows 8.1. I haven’t been able to isolate the issue yet in the logs. What’s the best way to go about diagnosing / fixing the problem?
I have seen this too. I do alot of custom metadata, and have seen Plex run an entire day, reindexing, reloading my entire collection. Seems to have started about the time that they made moving programs around more intelligent. I have moved folders around my collection and now it picks them up as a new location, but, that is also when alot started reloading.
