If you are still having a problem then you should probably start a new thread with Debug logs and system information since the web setting corrects the 3 minute timeout issue.

While I don’t have the problem now, I never had those settings on and still had the problem. The 3/4 minute timeout issue was mostly resolved in Plex Web 4.72.0 and even more in the latest 4.72.1 with the Plex Server update from yesterday. I agree with @MovieWiz , I’ve had this issue for the past few releases, and never had the use alternate streaming protocol on. So there’s really no reason to start a new thread. I just tried again with the latest update, and the problem still exists for me.

I’ve encountered a similar issue with the playback stopping every 4 minutes or so with Plex 1.25.3.5409 virtualized on a proxmox server. It’s not a web client issue though, its a PMS issue – because the timeout error happens on all my clients.
