Poster not added with Movie Scanner

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3759
Player Version#:

Hi folks,
I’m running the Plex server on my Windows Server since years, works really great. Only one issue: I can setup whatever agent I want, never are poster automatically added to a new film, tv show or whatever. Also not a poster with poster.jpg in each folder of a movie, etc.
All metadata is gathered correctly, but no poster. I really can’t identify what’s wrong. Any ideas in general? What data do you need to come closer to a solution / to help me?
Or, can someone please provide a setting, what needs to be used where in which order to get it done?
Thanks
Cheers
Alex

Do you use a FritzBox as your router?

Have you moved the location of the Plex data folder away from its default on drive C:?
If so, where to and what type of drive is used and what kind of file system is the drive formatted with?

FritzBox? Yes, why?

Yes I moved it, but not sure anymore how. Most likely via Junction.
the drive is a “virtual” drive provided by StableBit DrivePool, is displayed as NFTS in the computer management (Windows Home Server 2011), all hard disks are also NTFS (which are in the drive pool)

That won’t work, because artwork display is relying on Symlinks, which are available in a native NTFS volume, but not in a DrivePool volume.

See Scanning library takes hours just for a couple of movies/shows - #95 by bwestpha

you mean only the automated assignment of a poster? That is really the only thing which is not working. all other stuff works perfect
If I add a poster manually by selecting e.g. a JPG from the drive, it is used and displayed. as said, only the automated process for the poster isn’t working.
Thanks anyways for your help

The scanning itself is as fast as expected, no issues here. I have a Fritzbox with DSL not Cable

I’d still recommend a test run with this “acceleration” setting disabled in the FritzBox.
Installing the latest firmware can’t hurt, either.
