Roll back your updates to 1.23.2.4600 and it should be working again. I’m personally not updating my Plex from that version until I know that they’ve fixed the PreRoll issue.
You can go to 1.23.3.4707 and they still work.
I was going crazy trying to figure out why all of sudden this stopped working. Only fix is manually setting it in the app. Will try to downgrade

No preroll here. Using Roku preview latest with preroll only option selected under experience.
it is not fixed yet. Looks like they are trying to get it fixed in 1.24.0

I checked using another system to see if it works with the new update: 1.23.4.4805. IT DOES NOT!!
Even played around with the trailer settings. PreRolls just won’t play. If you change the number of ‘Cinema Trailers to play before Movies’ to 1, it plays just the actual cinema trailers and not the PreRolls.
Wow, that could be a long wait considering we are on version 1.23.4.xxxx unless they decide to jump .6 increments. I really hope they fix it soon.
There is a way to get it working on the new build. You have to set ‘Cinema Trailers to Play Before Movies’ to 1. The earlier Plex versions you could set it to ‘None’ and the Prerolls would work as long as you had Cinema Trailers Enabled for the library. Problem is, I want the Prerolls and NOT the trailers. Even if they added a setting for 0 so you could choose [None, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5], I would be happy with that. However, I don’t understand why you’d need to do this, when putting a check in the box for “Enable Cinema Trailers” should already do this, and ‘None’ should allow the Prerolls to work, like it had in the past.
Most likely a programmer accidentally did something to invalidate a chain or tag for the feature and someone’s gotta run back through the code to figure it out.

I was wondering why they stopped working. I guess everyone on the public stable release update is now experiencing this too. Hopefully 1.24 comes soon.
we jump them all the time. we went from 1.22.3 to 1.23.0 for example
I’m also following this thread waiting for a fix, it’s disappointing it’s not been rectified yet.

Yes, I can confirm that they are working now with Beta 1.24.4897.
It also looks like it was fixed in official version: 1.24.4921 in the release notes.
