The preroll I added was the file I played first to show file working.
It is a local path its in my video folder on my pc
All Im trying to find out is why a file plays when its address is not in preroll but same file stops working if I add its address to preroll box and you cant play file directly untill you remove the address

must be something within PMS but I canāt solve it today.

I was using preroll for a week with no problems until I added ; and another file for random preroll. I got the 1001 network error. When I removed the second file name from preroll and only add the first file, I still got the error.
I have noticed when I change a music file it takes me removing the library and adding it again for changes to take place even if I scan files and refresh metadata first. So I think when I made the change for preroll something labled my file as bad and its stored there so every time I add a preroll it links to the bad metadata somehow. Totally a guess on my part but based on my user experience.
I dont know what has happened but it works now. Thank you for your time and effort. Ill be back if it comes up again. Thanks again!
I dont know if this is allowed in the thread but Im wondering what you meant by my pc should be faster? I dont notice any lag or slowness but I am running Ubuntu 19.04 unsupported as of a few months ago.
What linux OS do you think works best with plex and my dell 2600 IntelĀ® Coreā¢ i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz Ć 8 ,GeForce GTX 1060 ?
I think a PCI-E 4 sata port card was bad and caused this issue. I have had no problems since updating to Ubuntu 19.10 and not using that sata card. Thanks for the help and I read your post about which OS to use.
