Problem installing plex server (win7) - blocked at init step

Hi,

I’m trying to install Plex Media Server (last available one) for Windows.
It’s the first time I’m trying to install a plex server.

When running install, choose directory (let program file by default), next,… then it just block at “initiliazation” step.

Here is the log files (found in Temp directory):

  • Is the Windows Media Player installed and not disabled?
  • Is ‘Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7’ installed?
  • Are all available Windows Updates installed? (may need several update/reboot cycles)

Hint: Windows 7 will be ‘unsupported’ by Microsoft in January 2020.
Plex Server will very likely cease to support Windows 7 at the same date (or shortly thereafter). Now is the time to think about a migration plan.

Hmm ok it just installed after 10min waiting with the installer doing nothing… really strange.
