this is my first post and i need your help because plex stop working on my Samsung UE40KU6072 Smart TV.
The first big issue is the application doesn’t work using access PIN. For use it, after reinstalled i’ve puted the flag on to “logon automatically” in settings. but this is a trick not a solution.
Second issue is the application not open from Apps Shortcut list on my TV; i must to go on my apps page and open it from there.
I’m feel a little bit frustrated. I’va already unistalled and installed the apps too many times, and i’ ve resetted the smart hub of my TV.
I’ ve finished my options, so please i need your help
I’m confused. If you enable “logon automatically” then it won’t ask you for the PIN. It reloads the app to the last user that used it. It only asks for the PIN if you change users.
We use Comcast xfinity. They automatically deny connections they deem suspicious. I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t connect from my SmartTV (Tizen) until I saw the post that talked about IPs and port that looked like it came from Ireland. They matched the IPs that Comcast was blocking. So, I “allowed” them on my xfinnity app and voila! But xfinity will only allow them for 30 days. After that I’ll need to “allow” them again. Also, Plex support says that those IPs my “evolve”, and so I’ll have to go back and check the current list sometimes.
@claudio_ionfrida_gmail_com Hi, in my case Settings-> Diagnostic->Reset Smart Hub on Samsung TV helped. Seems that samsung updated smth and only Smarthub reset helps…

i’ve already tried that way but withou success…i think that to my Smart Tv dosen’t like anymore Plex app or viceversa.
i really don’t know how can i fix this problem

let me try to clarify. The problem is on PIN login screen that not appear as espected, and to have access anyway on Plex app, once have reinstalled it, i went to Settings --> and activated “logon automatically” option to bypass PIN screen.
But this is a work-around, not a resolution, and now as explained in the second point i have another issue opening the app only from App Page and not from the Apps’s shortcut.
AS DESIGNED: when you start the app, it should prompt for a PIN if you have users enabled. You can check the box “Logon Automatically” if you dont want it to prompt for PIN/User. this is all as designed.
As to being unable to start it from the shortcut. please clarify. do you have a shortcut and when you click on it, it does not start? or are you missing the shortcut?
If you have the shourtcut, delete it. Delete any other Plex shortcuts. then go to the apps create and have it create a new shortcut.
