Hi, I am using Plex on an ipad and win10 pc. Today I purchased my first month of plex pass hoping to be able to download some of the plex movies. To my dismay I cannot find any plex content that displays the download button. I do however get it on my own content that is already stored on my server. What good is that? Am I missing something? For starters I’d like to download the Kung Fu tv series. I’d sure appreciate some help here or an explanation.

You cannot download content from Plex online media sources like their video-on-demand service. From what I understand this is due to a licensing restriction (they’re not allowed to let users download that content).
The download feature you’re referring here is focusing on syncing content from your own server or a shared library to e.g. a mobile device or the regular Plex desktop app so you can watch videos/music while outside your home network without using bandwidth from your mobile data plan.

It seems the plex pass also does not remove the commercials as I thought it would. What benefits does it actually provide?
