Hello everyone,
I’m using the PLEX app on an NVIDIA SHIELD PRO connected to a SYNOLOGY DS 918+ NAS.
For several weeks, I haven’t been able to find my photos or movies on the NVIDIA SHIELD’s PLEX app.
Could you please give me some guidance on how to resolve this issue, given that I haven’t changed any settings?
Thank you in advance.
You should probably go here: Reddit - The heart of the internet
Lots of good tips for Switch and Plex.
First thing you really should do is turn off automatic updates.
Plex Media Server version? 1.41.x, 1.42.x, etc.
Is the NAS running DSM 6 or DSM 7?
Is the Shield local to or remote from the NAS?
Do you have other libraries (tv shows, etc.) that are visible on the Shield?
Can you see movies or photos using Plex Web or other clients?
Hello,
Plex media server version :
Nas : DSM 7.2-64561
Yes i have watchlist, Movies and shows.
The shield is connected to the network of my house.
It tell me NAS is currently unavailable
Assume you turned it (Switch) Off and On again (as in unplugging it from wall socket) and made sure the NAS is seen from any other device, like your PC?
Thanks for the update.
Using a web browser, look in Settings → server_name → General.
It will say “Server claimed by email_address” or “this server is unclaimed.” It also shows the Plex Media Server version.
Is the server claimed? If not, then claim it.
What version of Plex Media Server is installed?
Next, still using a web browser, go to the Plex home page. Are all your libraries available? Can you see and play your media files, etc.
Hello.
