Hi there… I am a longtime Plex user. For the past two years, I have housed my server on a QNAP TS-253Be NAS. The server and Plex media server are always at the latest version. The NAS was initially connected to my router directly by a LAN cable, and I never had any issues playing media. I watched my media mostly on a TCL Roku TV with the Roku Plex app, as well as occasionally on a Mac. Both connected via Wifi.
A few months back I switched my router to an Eero router, and added a PS5 to my system. Because I wanted both the PS5 and the NAS to connected to the router via LAN cable, I added a Linksys 5 port Gigabit ethernet switch (SE3005) to connect both devices to my router.
Since then (as best as I can tell), I have begun to encounter issues with my Plex server. At times it takes much longer for movies (usually 4K videos or 1080p videos) to buffer at the start, and trailers can no longer be viewed. When I start a trailer, it stops at 33% and then I get a playback error. This is frustrating because my system used to work flawlessly.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
