Problems with the new updates

I’m hoping there are easy fixes to these issues and I’m doing something wrong, but since the updated app (iOS) here’s what’s happening. I was not able to access my server remotely (never had a problem before. I am not able to add any movies or TV shows to a playlist (I have to do that on my computer). Playlists were separated between TV shows and movies (took a minute for me to figure that out. No big deal but inconvenient) and I can’t play my playlists through. In other words, I start the playlist and it just repeats the first movie/TV show.
Any thoughts or ideas would be most appreciated.

Remote access now requires…

  • a Plex Pass OR
  • a Watch Pass OR
  • streaming from a server who’s owner has a Plex Pass

I do not have a Plex Pass, but stream remotely from a Plex Media Server:

To stream remotely starting on April 29, 2025, you will need a Remote Watch Pass or Plex Pass subscription on your account or the admin of the Plex Media Server from which you stream will need a Plex Pass subscription on their account.

It appears this is still missing from the new mobile apps.

Which exact version of the mobile app do you have installed on that phone? I remember seeing reports for this issuebut I’m not sure if this might already be fixed.

Thanks for the response! I’m still having the same issues with watching playlists and adding to playlists, but fully understand the Plex pass thing. Hopefully this will get resolved. I’m running 2025.17.0
