Seems to be fine now. I’m guessing it’s just a random glitch with the data source
Hi @shea9872,
My EPG only seems to have content for today and tomorrow. Will this right itself?
Thanks
Everything is looking fine on this end. Have you tried a manual refresh?
That fixed it. I am not sure why the automatic nightly refresh has not been working. Sorry to trouble you. I should have tried that first.
TV3 was broken for me today, but a manual refresh fixed it.
No Channel 1, and ‘Unknown Airing’ for 2 and 2+1 in the guide currently, missed a bunch of recordings last night. Thinking it might be time to dust off EPG Collector and go it alone. The enhanced guide is way better when it works though.
I’m seeing the same thing at the moment. I’ve just done a full guide refresh but they are still missing.
EDIT: Guide had refreshed, but I hadn’t refreshed the page! I clicked out of the Guide and came back and now it is looking much better. TV2+1 still has an Unknown Airing for 10.30am, but it looks ok after that.
Sorry guys. This problem seems to be a nightmare to track down the source of - I’m not sure if its the data, the code or some combination! I made a few tweaks a few days ago to try solve some of the issues, however it obviously hasn’t got them all.
I’ll try sit down one weekend in a few weeks when I have a bit of time and trawl through the guide and figure out what’s going on, however until then, I just recommend doing a manual refresh whenever there’s any gaps in the guide (and if there continues to be gaps, try an hour later).
Thanks very much and really appreciate all the work! No apology necessary
Sorry to add to the experience that others are having.
I really do appreciate all the work you put into this project.
For some time I have experience incomplete data for random channels, mainly Three, Prime.
BUT since the weekend I’m not getting any guide data beyond next Saturday at midnight. I have run numerous manual scans in NextPVR, all to no avail.
This shouldnt make any difference but I’m using your data for Emby via NextPVR.
Was just a small issue with TVDB, which I’ve now fixed. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks so much @shea9872 that fix was so fast. I’m really appreciative and impressed at your response times to reported problems.
Hi everyone. I believe I’ve now sorted out the issue with random gaps in the guide data, so there should no longer be issues with ‘Unknown Airing’ in Plex (plus Lotto is now being removed from the guide again, so it doesn’t split up programmes). Because of this I’ll be resetting the guide data back to once daily updates (rather than the current hourly ones).
If you notice any more gaps in the guide please let me know, so I can take a look and hopefully fix it.
Thanks shea9872
I’m sure I speak on behalf of everyone here when I say that we really appreciate you spending your personal time maintaining the guide. Without it our Plex passes would be virtually worthless.
Cheers
Geoff
I second that. I did cancel my PlexPass when Plex stopped providing an NZ EPG (which wasn’t the greatest anyway). Only reason I took out another subscription was because of your EPG. Plex should sponsor you!
Wow, coming back here after a while and seems like I’m the lucky one - getting to use all this goodness from the guide - and the biggest issue I had was around unkonwn airings - on some clients you could play them anyway, but on ATV you couldn’t click to start them which was annoying. That drove the Mrs mad and I had to abandon Plex TV and put in a real aerial behind the TV lol. She’s happy now. But will give this a go shortly. Amazing work!
One day later - all I can say is - a-mazing. NZ probably has the best guide of any country now! Thanks everyone.
Thanks for the links. Much better for Plex than what I what previously using.
Thanks for all the hard work with producing the XMLTV file for Plex. However as of about 4-5 days ago https://nzxmltv.github.io/xmltv/guide-v2.xml hasn’t been working. When I try and open it in a browser (to check it) it doesn’t work, but the Sky version does.
Is there a fault?
Yes, there was an issue, however it only seemed to have been with the last guide update.
