PS3 - "No Media Servers Found"

Help! :)

 

Trying to take advantage of the new PS3 plex player but could really do with a bit of expert advice!

 

I cannot seem to get the PS3 player to connect to my server and keep getting hit with "No Media Servers Found - Upgrade these servers to 0.9.10.1"

 

Running Plex version 2.3.20

 

I have tested the server/NAS is running correctly via the Android App. I can access media both via my WiFi and also externally from my network over mobile data.

 

Here is the odd bit...

 

Using the DNLA feature on the PS3 I can see and browse the Plex server! So it seems like its just the App/Player which is too blame?

 

This a known bug with the PS3 player? Anyone seen similar?

What version of Plex Server are you running, the version you gave (2.3.20) is the Plex\Web version. Look at Settings -> Server -> General to get the PMS version.

Also in the settings at Settings -> Server -> Connect, do you have the 2 green check marks to signify connection to Plex.tv servers? This is required.

Turns out issue is running on XP still so don't have correct sever version!

Yeah, that will be a problem as even with plexpass you are stuck at 0.9.9.16 I think. Time to think about an OS switch. :)
