New to site just wondering how you get back to an old update on plex I have the new update and don t like it.
Is there anyway to get back to my old tried and trusted?

same here!
I hate the new update and its a LOT harder to navigate. its easier to just plug the hard drive in driectly and find the file manually if it stays like this.
now im REALLY glad i cancelled my subscription. 
ps4 plex update is beautiful and works better.

you seem to be the only one where it works better then as all i see is same complaints i have.
the app crashed over 30+ times yesterday… just trying to navigate and watch a tv episode.
Now after the update I cannot even get past the selecting user screen. It just freezes there, pressing any buttons results in nothing. If I force close the app then restart it same problem.
Just tried uninstalling, turning ps4 off, then restarting and installing for it to just freeze at the start page with sign in on it.

Sounds like the exact same problem as the one I described here: Plex app v1.05 won't start on PS4 (v6.02)
It’s disappointing that this forum post went absolutely nowhere. I was aghast at the new interface. It was a massive change, and really, it’s more difficult to use.
That being said, I did finally get used to it, and tried to play some things. But I’m now getting constant buffering issues on most of my titles that played just fine before.
I’m using a WD MyCloud EX2 Ultra, so transcoding on the fly has always been an issue. But previously, I would just convert problem files, and just playing the video with the ‘share’ button directly would play the best file automagically, and it would just work.
Now… they changed the play from list button from share to square, which is annoying enough, but when I use that, it just buffers constantly. If I go into the page for the movie itself then go to the … menu and choose to play a different version, no matter what I select, it will buffer constantly as well.
Today I finally noticed a new update was released for my plex app on my wd mycloud ex2, and even after installing it, I have the same problems…
Why the heck would an update like this be released that basically cripples playback on consoles. I have to assume it’s the app on the PS4, since the app on the wd mycloud didn’t change at the same time… and the version on the nas has been updated after several weeks of hell, and didn’t fix anything.
What’s going on here?

I have reset/restarted my PS4 numerous times. Re-downloaded the app numerous times. I never have any other applications running while I use Plex and it still constantly crashes. I’ve been unable to watch even a 20 minute tv show since this awful update back in November. It simply doesn’t work. I wish there was a way to rollback to the previous version where I could watch anything and everything with zero issues. Please fix it.

Please fix the new update. There is only 1 thing I like in the new update: The fast forward & rewind controls are better.
Things I hate:
1/ It now doesn’t remember my selections for what movies to display eg. I always have it on "unwatched & sorted by date released. Now it keeps defaulting back to all movies & alphabetically & l have to keep changing it every time I watch a movie which takes a lot of clicks & is annoying every time doing this. Is this a bug?
2/ It now doesn’t show the year or the length of the movie under the thumbnails like it did before. This was really handy to be able to at least see the length so you can choose an appropriate movie for the time you have to watch it. Now I have to go into each one to look at this info which wouldn’t be so bad if it was fast which it isn’t.
3/ It takes a lot more clicks to get to where you want to go. The new interface is just awful.
4/ (minor) It doesn’t look good aesthetically to have the thumbnails jammed up against the edges of the screen. Leaving a bit of space looks much better. When did you last see a sign/book/brochure/website where it had foreground images right on the edge?
It wouldn’t be so bad if they fixed these issues but I would much prefer the way it was before.
Having the exact same issue with the app crashing ever ~1/2 hour. How about fixing this update ASAP instead of working on VR platforms for every other device… just give paying PS4 users an app that can function!
The Plex app on my PS4 Pro would crash at random times… sometimes after 2 seconds, sometimes after an hour. Very frustrating.
