My PS5 Plex app just doesn’t function any more. I have attached a screenshot of this new popup box in the top right that I’ve never seen before. A second after this shows, the app crashes to a “Something went wrong” box with the error code ce-118377-7. Nothing had been changed on the PC or console end before this happened. It was working fine yesterday.
I was gonna post a whole new thread about this, I’m glad I’m not the only one. My Server was working fine this morning and now, I get same results as your screenshot on my PS5. I was losing my mind trying to figure what the issue was. Gonna follow this thread until a solution is posted.
Hi there. I am also having the same issue. I am running the latest version of the Plex Server on a Windows 11 machine. I have the latest PS5 firmware and Plex App on my PS5.
The issue started overnight on Oct 30th, with zero changes to any networking configurations and seems to have coincided with the new Plex update. It has rendered my PS5 app completely useless. I have tested streaming on separate remote devices (iOS device, a Roku, and on a Windows machine) with no issues, so it seems to be localized to the PS5 Plex app.
Right after the: “Checking Connection Speed to ServerName” popup comes up, the app crashes and I get error code CE-118377-7. Rinse and repeat. I was able to stream an audiobook from my server on the PS5 using a plugin, and all of my media icons and streaming progress shows up no problem, its just when starting a video file from my server that this happens.
We are temporarily deactivating the Quality Suggestions feature for affected clients while we investigate the cause of the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
