QNAP refused connection to Plex

Server Version#:latest in QNAP app store
Player Version#:any play plex offline.

Cannot connect to plex server. Port 32400 refused. have stop and restarted repeatedly. No help. QNAP think router is blocking port. This may have started after QNAP admin account disabled for security. Do not know if this matters. Turned off QFirewall no affect.

Thanks in advance.

Please download Plex directly from Media Server Downloads | Plex Media Server for Windows, Mac, Linux, FreeBSD and More and perform a manual install.

I am having a similar issue.

Which distribution should I use for a QNAP TS-451D2 server? None of the distributions in the menu appear to be compatible.

After reading the FAQ, I will install the intel package.

You can always find the CPU info here:

If you ever find a NAS not listed, please ask me. I am the maintainer of that list.

Thanks, Installing the latest version fixed the problem. How will I know when updates are available? QNAP never seemed to update plex app.

The Plex Web interface has been pretty good about letting me know when updates were available. Seems it doesn’t matter if it’s QNAP or whichever. The update procedure is a little different, but notifications appear to remain the same.
