I have a smart LG tv and on the app you can select the quality for the playback of video. Can we get this feature into the xbox one app? I would love to play my cloud sync videos but I cant select the quality so they will try and transcode and fail, error saying that it cant play.

Hi there. This ability already exists in the Xbox One app. You can change quality from the preplay page or while a video is playing.
@Moussa mine doesnt show up letting me change quality on any videos
@gariland123 You don’t see it as one of the sidebar actions on the preplay page? Or while playing a video you pause it but the quality menu is empty?
Scratch that, the issue is elsewhere. You can’t change quality for cloud sync videos (because cloud servers can’t transcode as you mentioned). This shouldn’t be happening but it’s possible you’ve lowered the quality for remote videos elsewhere and the preference has stuck for cloud sync videos. Try going to a local server item and changing the quality to Original and then going back to play the cloud sync item.

@gariland123 Sorry, got confused between your separate situations. When you say it won’t let you do you mean the option is there but nothing happens when you change or it’s not there at all?

@gariland123 Do you see the same thing in the web app? What kind of device are you using as a server?
@Moussa no the web app lets me select quality but theres no options from within videos and im using readynas 102 by netgear
