Hi,
We have an ATV3 in our son's room. I wanted to be able to limit the amount of media that he can watch, because of his young age.
Therefor I set up myPlex on that ATV. I share a certain library to his account and Shared Libraries works perfectly :)
But.... for some reason the signin to myplex got disconnected. I´m not sure if it's because of an ATV update or something else, and then he got access to all the libraries.
Has anyone experienced this and knows of a good way to prevent this ?
Not sure why it happened but in PMS you can require authentication on local networks to prevent this recurring.
Your other devices will then also need to be:
1- signed into MyPlex
2- excluded from needing authentication in that setting (they would need static or reserved IP addresses though to stop it breaking at some point)
I didn't know about the "authentication setting" :)
I think that does the trick. Now if myPlex signs off for some reason on our ATV, then no library is accessible; which is exactly what I wanted.
