hey i am just wondering if i can let the app use a link to my plex server for example:
plex.example.com that directly links to my plex server over nginx and already works in browser ?
Keep in mind that your users don’t need to memorize or bookmark the URL to your server. It is absolutely not needed.
There is no need for a custom domain, just for playing the content of your server. Just load the web app from https://app.plex.tv and log into your Plex account.
If you are using a different app, just sign the app into your plex account.
If you absolutely need a custom URL for your server, define a “custom server access URL”:
