Random TV Shows have appeared

Hi everyone,

I have a bit of s strange problem. When I started Plex up this evening to watch a movie the On Deck was showing a lot of TV Shows that I know I have not downloaded. When I checked my NAS, all of these shows (not complete shows just odd episodes) were actually in my “TV Shows” folder, in the root of the folder rather than in any show folders as my own content is arranged eg

My TV Shows are in Video -> TV Shows -> “Show Name” -> Season No. but these files are in Video -> TV Shows (does that make sense?)

Although I do have download station (I’m using a Synology NAS) set to download the TV Shows that I watch these shows are then moved manually by me to the correct folder location. So I have no idea where these files came from or how they got there.

Any ideas?

I do share my library with a number of people, by sharing my Library am I giving them permission to upload shows? And if so how do I turn that off?

Thanks in advance.

Alistair

they don’t or shouldn’t be able to upload stuff.
you can use the Synology File Station app to see which (Synology) user has created those files and when.

Thanks for the post, how do I see which user has created the files? When I bring up the properties it just lists me as the owner of the files.

in File Station, right click the file and select “Properties” – there you should see the owner (=Synology user), dates etc.
Just wondering a little… I believe there used to be more information available

Yeah it just lists me as the owner with no other information there :frowning:

I did recently install some channels perhaps one of those downloaded these files?
