Rasplex 0.4.0 RC1 rebooting after TV turns off

Hello all. After updating to 0.4.0 RC1, whenever I turn off my Samsung tv with the remote control (or the button on the front), about 20 seconds later the tv turns back on and I catch the last few seconds of the pi boot sequence. Seems as though hitting the power button on the tv is rebooting the pi. I’ve had to unplug my tv from power to keep it off. Luckily it isn’t that big of a deal for me, but has anyone else been experiencing this? Am I doing something stupid?

This must be an effect of unwanted interactions through the HDMI interface (aka: CEC features).
You should be able to disable those at either end. (I always do so at both ends.)
There should be some configuration menu for such things in your TV set, just like there is for RasPlex/PHT.

This issue has been answered already many times :) Please search before posting :)

You need :

1 - You can use RC2 to have a proper shutdown.

2 - You need to configure CEC function in preferences so that it is Either to Shutdown or Ignore. Suspend is not supported by RPI and will make it reboot.

i have my CEC to ignore and also devices to power on/off to 'none' and i get this issue too. Both my tv and avr turn on about 20-30s after i turn them off if rasplex is attached.

I have not caught the boot-up sequence though, because my tv is really slow to turn on, but i will check if that is happening later

I thought this was sorted downloaded latest version rc2 set peripheral to ignore also tried shutdown and tv reboots on shutdown when turned off and pi re startys if set to ignore and shut down on pi initiated ?? However tv stays off using an lg 40" Jon

if you set CEC adapter to ignore when TV goes off, it shouldnt reboot at all. im confused.

If you set it to shutdown it should shut down properly.

Can anyone else confirm that Ignore will reboot in RC2 ? It was working properly in RC1 afaik, and nothing should have  been changed on this matter

Did that exactly - and yep re booted Pi - only the "Ignore" toggle - closes the TV down without restarting, still unable to get PI to switch off all together - ps the other settings in Peripherals are set to off , with the exception of using tv language which is ticked.

Have exactly the same problem. Even with rc2  :(

Just to clarify, what is your Setting in CEC when powering off the TV ? did you use Standby or Poweroff ?

Edit : Can you guys check the captures at the bottom of this issue and lemme know if you're having the same config :

Hi Longchair my settings are off for the TV can you confirm what should the settings be from peripherals >>

For me, setting it to ignore works. Thanks! I didn’t actually want it to shut down.
