RasPlex +Roomie Remote

I use Roomie Remote as my go-to universal remote. This is entwined in my home AV set up through use of a Global Cache iTach and IP controllable devices.

 

Roomie can auto-detect certain devices and it detects RasPlex as XBMC Media Player JSON which isn't unexpected. However, when creating activities, Roomie warns me that I haven't configured authentication and as such the remote may not work. Indeed it does not, RasPlex doesn't respond.

 

Roomie gives me the option to enter some authentication credentials, are these required? What would they be? I can't seem to find any setting in RasPlex to set them so one assumes it is expecting credentials, but none are set or I don't know what the defaults are.

 

Any clues anyone?

Problem solved - ish. Although Roomie detects that it is XBMC running on the Pi, it doesn't work. I had to manually configure a device using manual IP address and set to port 3005. I selected Plex as the device type and JSON and it works fine.

I'm using a mac mini and was having the same problem, all better now
