I had set my remote quality on my Rasplex to 4mbs for some testing when I stream media remotely. However I noticed that when I then played some media from my local plex server, it would indicate it was adjusting down to 4mbs. The Rasplex and the Plex server are on the same local network. The Rasplex has given no indication that it is unable to see the local Plex server or has any problems connecting to it. In the Rasplex setting I have even specified the plex server manually. Does anyone know why it would play my media using the remote quality settings? I have Plex Home theater installed on a desktop as well and it does not exhibit this behavior.
