RasPlex Support

Running the latest .36 release. Performance has improved again, many thanks. One niggly point, poster artwork seems to be degraded and some what grainy. I get it in both fan-outs and if I drill down in to Movie sections. Is this to be expected given the recent changes?

Also, I had significant problems trying to get my .35 release to update to .36. It downloaded the file and then would abruptly hang the GUI for a few seconds before exiting. In the end I had to re-flash the SD card using one of the latest installers to get .36 in place.

Had to reboot twice in order to get the .36 install to work. Since then I also noticed the artwork thumbnails to be extremely lo-res!

In the on-deck/recently added sections as well as drilling in to the menu’s.

Same here: When I run the updater it starts downloading but after about 30% the whole system hangs.

I am seeing HD art, but getting all of these white boxes where it would normally show, quality codec ...

example it should display 720p and h.264 alone the bottom of the show synopsis, but all i see is white boxes

if you have updated from 0.1.35 to 0.1.36, then you need to clear the cache otherwise it will display the old chached items (Low resolution).

in order to do so, log with ssh and use the following command :

 rm -rf /storage/.plexht/userdata/Thumbnails/* /storage/.plexht/userdata/Database/Texture*

Restart rasplex after that, it will rebuild the cache.

Does re-flashing the SD-card with the installer app flush out the cash?

I think it should

Thanks. I'll try that.

Me too! Great, HD art everywhere, but little white boxes for the other stuff.

One question though, which version of the server are you guys running ?

Looks like I am running a little behind. I'll upgrade now and see if it changes behavior. Do I need to flush cache via SSH?

Yeah, I updated to 0.9.7.22.510 on my iMac running Plex Media Server, purged the cache, and rebooted. Doesn't seem to solve the problem.

The white boxes also appear on different platforms of Plex Home Theatre so it's not a RasPlex specific issue. The HD art looks great well done guys!

In the .36 release notes it mentions iOS Remote fixes, does this include fast forward and rewind? As thats the only issue I have with RasPlex (but I think its a Plex issues not specific to RasPlex) other than that I can't believe I did without this for so long! Thank you for all your hard work and time.

Interesting ... could you point me to some other thread link about this. maybe its a server related issue then
