Since rasplex is based on xbmc please add support for navi-x its the best solution i found for live tv streaming
It have alot of live tv streaming
And navi-x comunity are verry nice they will help you for sure with any problem in porting it

Or just add a plugin system like in xbmc so people will do the rest and you dont need to worry about it
I have rasplex installed and get play things in my network fine (from the ones i tested) and can connect and play them via my iphone 4s too. When i goto 'shared content' it shows nothing at all, but i can see and play shared content to my phone, laptop and server?
how can i get the shared content playing through the pi. I have also logged in on the pi too.

Same for me, I guess we're all waiting for a new rasplex update to get around whatever they changed in ios7 that stops it from working

Yes I am having the same issue, from what I have read it seems to be an iOS7 issue rather than a plex issue.
Help please anyone! Apologies, I am completely computer handicapped and out of my depth. I've tried for two weeks to fix this and google the problem but don't understand most of what I'm reading to be honest.
I have the plex server running on my mac, version rasplex-0.3.1.img on a Class 10 8gig SD card on my 512mb Pi. I have my Mac/server in the house, with the Pi out the back of the house in the basement/mancave, HDMI cabled to my tv. The Pi is hardwired to the router. I also have the plex app on my iphone.
After spending 2 days about a month ago stumbling my way through set up, i was very impressed with rasplex and my new Pi. My small library played with no problems on the tv and the iphone. Unfortunately after about two weeks of use, my rasplex dropped off the "players" list within the iphone app. After two weeks of fumbling through settings that I don't understand at all, i have not been able to get it back. I have tried resetting rasplex AND resetting the system settings back to default just tonight and still nothing.
When i go to the "players" screen in the app, ONLY my now iphone appears as a player where before, both that AND the rasplex showed...a fortnight ago. BUT what is also odd, is that from that screen, if I go to the top right plex/arrow icon, within that screen it does list both. From there I can tick the rasplex player. But that automatically takes me back to the "players" screen and back there, it still doesn't appear as a player, it is still just the iphone. From there if I play a movie, sometimes it does work and plays through the tv, but sometimes only the audio plays through the tv and video just plays on my iphone. Whatever the case, i can no longer actually browse my library on my tv. At best, i can browse it on my phone and send it to the tv from there. but more often than not, that won't work either, it will as said, play the audio on the tv but video on the iphone.
I thought there might be a way to manage/add players but can't see how it is done, and don't really understand how it all works. I'm really clueless with computers, and it is a miracle I've got this far! I hope this is an easy fix, any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I'd suggest using plex media server instead of your iPhone to stream the movies. if you don't mind your Mac being on at the same time, i'd definitely go this route. I had a similar issue at one point. I'd have the videos on my iPhone, but they wouldn't work every time. once i started using plex media server, i've had absolutely no issues streaming. plus now i have no videos on my iPhone and iPad, which is definitely a bonus.
Thanks Frosty, but perhaps I didn't explain myself well. I am using the plex media server on my Mac as you suggest. The server and my library is on my mac. Although I can now use the iphone as a player, I don't really plan to. I only have the app on my iphone so that I can use it as a remote downstairs in the basement where I stream with the Pi to a TV. cheers

Are the Pi, Mac and iPhone on the same Network? You write that the Pi is connected to a router... is that routed or switched. My guess is that all devices need to be in the same Layer 2 broadcast domain so that the automatic discovery works. I used to have similar issues with my Mac which can be solved by a reboot or a: "sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder". I also used to have similar issues with my iPhone which could be resolved by rebooting the Pi and disconnect and reconnect the iPhone from the WLAN. Good luck!
yea make sure everything is on the same network. to ensure that addresses never change, you should look in to static IP addresses. you can force your devices to be the same IP you assign to them all of the time.
All else fails, make sure you reboot everything.

Maybe try signing out of myplex on the pi and your iPhone and then try logging back in.
I just followed the same steps you posted and couldn't replicate the issue. Everything worked fine for me. Latest plex on iOS, and the last experimental build on my pi.

I tried signing out and back in on both my Pi and my iPhone. Still nothing.
Is it an issue if "myPlex could not reach your server" in the Plex/Web settings of the PMS? It did that previously and still worked though...
EDIT: I went ahead and put the last experiemental build on my Pi, it works now... the build I had before (in which it wasn't working) was 0.9.9.7-20131004-74de720c.

I've got the same issue, I have two Pi's running latest Plex and since the new iOS update I can no longer control the Pi via my iPhone/iPad (Mrs andriod works fine still) both Pi's have been rebooted and no luck.
It seems like the new iOS client uses a different way to talk to the Pi so why I can see my library on the Pi I cant control it it tell it to play anything :(

I'm glad I'm not going crazy.
I've found the last experiemental version works as Frosty mentioned to me. I'll be using it until this issue is fixed, hopefully with the next stable build.

Just installed the latest experimental version. Way faster than the 0.3.1 version. Compliments to all you guys who are working hard on porting the plex HT version 1.0 to the Raspberry Pi. You are doing a great job.
I just loaded rasplex today on a version B pi.. I was able to get in and navigate around. but, any movie I play gives me sound.. and never goes to the Movie.. (just stays on the menus). I've tried some configurations.. but, nothing seems to help.. let me know if this is a known issue please.

Having the exact same problem. Just loaded up the Rev B Pi with Rasplex tonight (whatever version is on the main site) and I can hear videos but not see them.
samspayed and trpt4him, which versions are you running?
Since there is obviously no auto update enabled for these experimental builds, is there still a way to manually upgrade from 9.9.12 to the latest? (Without reflashing the card again)
