I just did a fresh install and rasplex is horribly slow and won't play 1080p videos. I had a Pi when they first came out and had rasplex kinda working back then when it first came out but wasn't able to play my videos then so gave up and sold the Pi's i had bought for a nice profit. I got another Pi recently and tried the new release and I haven't noticed much change on the Ui lag and video playing still doesn't work. I could watch TV shows before and still can after i get past the Ui lag. When I launch videos now they start then freeze. Before I would get a few minutes into a movie then it would either start freeze and restart, but now it starts then freezes and exits the movie. I'm using a 512 B Pi with a 16GB Class 10 Transend SD card. I let everything cache in each one of my plex folders for awhile before I started using it. Are there some known settings to change?

AirPlay don’t work fine whit ios7. Only audio is played. I have 0.3.1 and iOS 7.0.2.

hi guys need some please i just installed Rasplex on a 16gb Sdhc card in preparation for my RPi arriving, but after it was done its left me with not much space on the card its showing as 130mb free, surely thats not enough for the cache files

There are 2 partitions created on your SD. The one you see (in Windows?) is the system volume. Rasplex starts from this volume. The other one is an EXT4 partition.You can't see that by default in Windows, because it's a Linux filesystem. This one is used for storage. Like caching.

I'm having trouble using my Apple wireless keyboard in the latest stable version of Rasplex. It seems to pair fine through the RasPlex settings page, however once paired there's absolutely no response upon input and the keyboard just doesn't seem to control rasplex at all.
Anyone have any similar experiences/might have a suggestion as to how I can debug/solve this? I'm not even sure where the binaries for bluetooth are on rasplex or where I can find some relevant log/config files...

i have a 512mb pi and it plays all tv shows and music perfectly but when i try to play most of the movies it comes up with this playback failed message and it is always on the same movies (which is almost all) but the movies that do play always play fine so i was checking all the films that it wasnt playing and seeing if there was a comon deniminator but it seems random. i also have plex on my smart tv and that plays everything fine so its just the rasplex. any help would be much appreciated
did you try to enable the option to force transcoding on local network ? (it should be in preferences > network)

what setting should the quality be on?
I don't really know, try highest, and if you notice lags, set it a bit lower
Edit: The most annoying thing I noticed about "force transcoding on local network" setting is subtitles management. I'm French, so I need them for most of my movies / tv shows library, and most of time, Rasplex doesn't detect subtitles. When it's external subtitles (movie file + .srt file), it works better, but not perfectly.

I'm at an end with USB mice... Cordless and corded.
Can not get any type of mouse to work on a powered USB hub or directly plugged in. Plenty of powered USB hub grunt, 3 amps.
Any suggestions or ideas before I head back to OpenELEC? Cause I ain't hanging around RasPlex if it don't work ;)

Never needed a mouse with plex and as far as I am aware even the desktop client doesn’t use it.
Use a mobile device as a remote control, it’s what plex is great at. View the library on phone including thumbs and synopsis, then touch it and it starts playing on which ever device you tell it to play on.

because of the bad plex implementation of LG Medialink (changing audio language) i bought a raspberry and installed rasplex.
every think works fine, but rasplex don't mark movies as watched. i don't find the option is this a bug? the samsung plex client,
the ipad client and lg medialink mark files as watched.

Hello, Been using RasPlex for a while now. I haven't seen any major issues with my setup, but I have noticed a few things while using the Plex Android App as a remote. I have noticed that listening to music, once you start a song, you can't fast forward, rewind, go to the next song, stop the song, or use the back button (They just don't respond). The only way I have been able to get around this is on the android app, go to a movie or another song and then tell it to play on the RasPlex.
Also, it seems that playing a movie has the same issue for me at least with fast forwarding or rewinding. I can't do either, but I can stop or pause the show, and the back button works.
I have the 512mb Pi, and am running the Plex Media Server on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and I still noticed these issues after it downloaded the most recent update as of about 1 or 2 weeks ago.
Oh, I have noticed one other problem. My kids were watching a movie on it not too long ago, and every time it hit a particular spot in the movie, the Pi would reboot, every time. Any Ideas or have you heard of this previously?
