To Upgrade from 1.24 to 1.25 will Plex do this automatically?

Upgrades will only occur to new stable revisions. When .24 or .25 is deemed to be stable, then the automatic updating will grab them.

Issue resolved :)
Hey I just installed the new Bleeding Edge 1.25 and wanted to let you know that when you choose shutdown, that it doesn't in fact shutdown but go back to the loading screen. Seems the only way to power down is to pull the plug, and I really don't want to corrupt the SD card. Anyone else get this problem too?
Same issue with me.

I need some more details to be able to identify if there is actually a bug to resolve ...
- Which version was working for you as expected?
- Have you tried to adjust the shutdown command via settings?
Rasplex reboots for me as well instead of shutdown.
I am on 0.1.25. Was working as expected in 0.1.24.
I did not change any of the shutdown settings.
So, what's new in 0.1.26? :)
It's not in the release notes thread yet.
Very nice work...thanks to Dale and other contributing members. Very impressive what you've done.
Two questions...
1. How do I expand the rootfs? Using raspbian, I was able to ssh to the board and execute the expand_rootfs command. I do not see that anywhere in the rasplex filesystem.
2. I have a model B Raspberry Pi, but noticed when I overwhelm the board, it will restart the rasplex app. Looking through the "messages" log, I see that it ran out of available memory. Cat'ing meminfo shows the OS only has 128 MB of memory available to it, but I though that the model B was supposed to have 512. Is the rest being consumed by the GPU?
Thanks!

Support to automatically resize rootfs is coming, but doesn't exist in OpenELEC yet.
As for memory, that's very peculiar. The OS should get all but 100mb, which is used by gpu.

Again- same circumstances with me.

I'll look into this and will try to reproduce the behavior.
Please check trello card #165 for status updates.

With openelec I've used gparted to expand the partition on the sd card. If you only run windows, you can use the gparted bootable CD or USB to boot into a lite version of linux and run gparted.
Heads up, 0.1.27 has an odd quirk.
Playback words from "All" sections (ie, "All movies", "All tv shows"), but not from recently added, or fanouts.
Trying to figure out why.
Update: It is unclear whether or not this is a permanent problem, it seems to be intermittent.
Most likely it is related to caching, as it seems to go away when rasplex has been running for a while.
It seems that after loading "all movies" or "all tv shows" the cache is warmed up, and the player is able to acquire the decoder.
If you experience the black screen during playback problem on .27, please try scrolling through the "all" sections.
Quick question: how would I go about updating from 1.25 to 1.27 without having to reconfigure? Is there any command-line script that I can call via SSH?

It's possible by downloading the corresponding archive from the sourceforge auto-update section and replacing the SYSTEM and kernel.img on the fat partition with the files from the archives target directory.
I'll write a more detailed wiki-page later today on how to do such manual updates. (Maybe there will be a GUI-Tool to allow such updates in the future too)

Thanks a lot! The upgrade went flawlessly :)
a_wein I'm looking forward to your wiki post
do you know if manual update as in http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title=Updating_OpenELEC works?
1.27 seems to playback 1080p fine now but sometimes now 720 or 1080p plays right away but shows a black screen
how can i insert a mpeg lic# seems some of the unsupported channels like porrn hub play sound but no video, Im sure this is what they are missing
ui still lags when you go back to main menu
any fix on the little pop that comes on before movie plays in my sound system this is very noticable
1080p loads in 4 sec 720p loads in 2 sec much faster than a roku! Great Job!! Once we get netflix and hulu support im ditching the roku
No freezes or reboots yet either

So i'm not the only one with the black screens then.
Can you keep an eye on it and let me know if it keeps happening? It stopped for me.
I have an idea for the audio pop, just haven't implemented it yet.
