Hi - I’ve recently migrated from Windows Plex Server to NVidia Shield Plex Server.
I setup all my libraries from scratch again rather than any migration.
However for my kids where I’ve set a some rating restrictions (can only view items 12 or below) on the NVidia shield server, they cannot view anything in the library if viewing in Folder view. This can be replicated in different ways on different clients.
For example, on the Nvidia Shield client, I have a library called Music Videos (for which some content has ratings, some doesn’t have any). Viewing “All Music Videos” does show the contents correctly. However viewing By Folder shows zero contents.
On the Windows Web Client, once you choose to view by Movies, the By Folder option disappears. You can never get the By Folder option back again. In the by Movies view, everything displays correctly.
Worst is on Samsung TV (after 2016). There is no option to view by Movies so the default view just says there is no content in the library.
I’m using all the same content from my Windows Plex Server (hosted on NAS) and I’ve not had this issue before with Rating restrictions on libraries. It’s only since moving onto the NVidia Server.
Interestingly, if I create a new Test user, when trying to select Ratings restrictions that I want that person to view, I can only only choose a few ratings and not the full list.
Is this due to my new Plex Server just not identifying the ratings correctly yet or something?
Any help appreciated.
