Re-Analyze Replaced Media

When I replace a already analyzed episode with a new Version (mostly english only with multilanguage version) there is no way to get stuff like Intro / Preview re-analyzed. The only possible way at the moment is deleting the media and removing it from plex and re-add it again. It would be nice if Intro / Prevew and other tasks can be re-triggered either manually or when the scanner detects a change in filesize/checksum/length/language etc.

OK thx, will check with latest beta. It’s only mentioning chapter and index thumbnails but no intro so I’m not to optimistic. Will report back.

checked it by replacing the episode with a different version and different intro location. after re analyze (plex.com/web) intron remains the same. Hope this trigger could be added or a manual intro detection could be forced by the user.

still the same with latest beta version. replacing existing item with new one do not trigger intro detection and therefore intro is misplaced. I have to delete the item and rescan it to get the into right.

Please give the user the option to retrigger it manually if the system can not predict it correctly.

Any news? Still need a way to trigger Intro detection again as replaced media still won’t do it on there own.

With latest release ( 1.21.2.3918) we got #12059 for DVR content, can we have the same for TV seasons to re analyze the intros?

@OttoKerner still with latest beta, there is no way to re-analyze the intors. When size/content changes it should be normal to reanalyze this as timing will change.
