A HUGE annoyance is that when I reboot my NVidia Shield and I go into the Plex app, the onboard DVR is not seen as being available. I am told that there is nothing in the library and I can press ‘Retry’ all I want. Until Plex pulls it’s head out of its a$$ and decides it has done what it needs, THEN it becomes available.

UX Plex, UX! Why does it take you 5 minutes to start the server app? It opens when the Shield reboots, right? I do not understand HOW, by the time the Shield reboots, and any service apps start, of which the PLEX server should be a service app, and that the user opens the plex player … how is the server not initialized? This allows the user to see their library and in the next 10 seconds, when the user has made their choice of what to watch, the server should be started and allow the user to play the file of choice.

This issue would be far less annoying if Plex could fix the issue where it loses the antenna, forcing a reboot to fix - Recording failed. Please check your tuner or antenna - #27 by lipigab
