For quite a while now I’ve noticed that my Recently Released never changes so I took a peak at it and what I’ve found is that all tagged episodes are month, day, 2036, somehow all of my series episodes are from the future, pretty cool right? LOL
Just a novice guess but possibly Plex isn’t handling this properly, Plex TV Series is my Scanner/Agent and Episode ordering is The TVDB, is this an issue with TVBD??

The only solution I’ve found is to disable “prefer local metadata”
3 dots next to the library → Manage Library → Edit → Advanced
I did have that checked but unfortunately unchecking that didn’t fix the problem, but I would like to thank you for the suggestion, I even analyzed the library again to see if that might straighten it out.

You must perform all steps, in the noted order for the procedure to be effective.
That’s a bit drastic and I would lose all record of what series have been viewed and are waiting to be finished, that’s a lot of work and possible lose to fix a simple bug possibly.
No, really because you are of course supposed to perform the procedure only with the affected series.
Plus, the “watched” status is remembered by your server if the shows are currently matched with the same metadata agent that is also going to be used when you add them back.
I recommend you trying it with one show. Take a note of your playback progress, so you can restore it if something goes wrong.
(You can improve the chances of success if you perform “Refresh Metadata” on the top level of the show before starting the procedure. That did the trick all the released dates are valid for the four offenders and displayed properly for the users now. My recently added is wrong but not a big deal.
