Recorded shows; when adding to existing library, "Seasons" doesn't work

Server Version#: Version 1.17.0.1841

Hello all, I came across a strange issue and was hoping someone could help. I’m currently recording This Is Us via live TV. The show records no problem, and the Plex server put everything in the proper place… C:\TV Shows\This Is Us (2016)\Season 4. All of that is fine. I decided to rip my DVDs of the first three seasons so others who haven’t seen the show can watch it from the beginning. The first three seasons are properly named: C:\TV Shows\This Is Us (2016\Season 1\S01E01 - Pilot.mkv for example.

That’s the background, so here’s the problem. When browsing the show, it says “55 Episodes” and has all the episodes listed underneath, rather than having them organized neatly into seasons. I’ve triple-checked the naming conventions, etc., but nothing is standing out. The server named Season 4’s folder “Season 04” (rather than Season 1, Season 2, etc.) but even if I changed the name to Season 4, it doesn’t correct the issue.

Am I missing something blatantly obvious? Thanks in advance!

In the overview of your library, where you can see the shows poster, click on the pencil. Go to advanced and change the “seasons” box to either “show” or “library default” (how i have it). I don’t know what triggers it, but i’ve had a small number of my recorded shows somehow decide they should be in “hide” mode. When I notice it I change the setting.

YES!! That worked! Thanks so much! I’m incredibly OCD about my library, metadata, etc., and that was driving me nuts. Thanks again!
