I have a case where some recorded TV shows are broken into seasons and others aren’t.

And here is a screenshot sorted by seasons showing that the files are recognized as being in seasons:
In the first screenshot, why do “Stargate SG-1” and “Stargate Atlantis” lump all recordings into episodes?
Have you tried a “fix match”?
I did. That didn’t fix the problem.
I also tried doing a “Plex Dance”. That was a little weird. After moving all the files and doing the “Plex Dance”, I then moved the files back and did a “Scan Library Files”. After a short bit of watching the spinning icon, the display showed the proper number of seasons. But when the spinning icon stopped, the seasons display disappeared and the display just showed the episode count.
I am having this same problem. Directory structure is the same for the shows that show seasons and those that don’t. Can’t sem to find any options that make a difference.
I get this quite often for new DVR’d shows
Hover over the title of one of the ones that shows it just as episodes (pic 1 in first post) and click the Pencil symbol to edit the show
Selected Advanced in the left hand panel, on the Seasons option, it is probably set to hide, change this to Library Default
Thank you paulsalter. That fixed the problem. I didn’t know about that setting.
