There does not exist a PlexMediaServer “User”
In DSM 7, all applications now have “System Internal User”
SystemInternalUser accounts are completely under DSM control.
The “PlexMediaServer” shared folder is the new name for what used to be the “Plex” shared folder. If you examine it, you will find the structure has changed but is mostly the same.
Be advised, DSM 7 is extremely fragile. If you alter permissions or files in PlexMediaServer, you will break PMS.
If you want to grant permission for PlexMediaServer to access your media, here is how it must be done now.
You will find the original port number (32400) along with the URL in Package Center.
