Reinstalling Plex player app on Shield

Hi

I’ve been having some issues with high bitrate 4K files buffering and someone suggested reinstalling the Plex app on the Shield.

My instinct is that I can safely do this without losing any metadata or anything important, as I’ve done it on other devices.

Is this right? Are there any issues with doing it on the Shield? Won’t touch PMS obvs.
