Any ideas how to trigger the update for the odroid c2?
I’m on the pre-release channel in openpht but it isn’t picking up that 1.7.1 is available.
Restarted with network delay in case it was that, no change.
Any hints would be appreciated
in the new openPHT 1.7.1 … the poster for recently added episodes stacked is blank … i mean: there are no poster.
and for this new episodes the poster in F6 media is blank too.
if i disable stacked episodes the F6 poster is blank too
it’s annonying

I apologize if this has been addressed already but with version 1.7.1, I can no longer use custom keymaps using Eventghost.I have the buttons “O” for on screen menu, “S” for subtitle toggle, “T” for audio track toggle mapped to my Rosewill remote. These functions have worked beautifully with my eventghost script that i’ve run for years and through many versions of PlexHT and now OpenPHT, but with this latest version, they no longer work.
If I push the button mapped for “O”, it seems like each command is recognized twice or something, because the menu will pop up and quickly disappear. Same thing with “S” and “T”.
So if I understand this software correctly, you’re running on a Windows box? And EventGhost intercepts the IR command on the windows box, then maps the signal to a corresponding keyboard command?
yes, I am running it on an Intel NUC with Windows 7
Check your debug log to see if EventGhost is sending them twice. You may want to replicate the issue with debug on and upload your OpenPHT logs here so we can look at it.

OpenPHT v1.7+ is now using port 9777 instead of port 9778 for remote/events. I don’t know your exact setup but make sure that your eventghost config and scripts are using the correct “new” port.Do you know exactly where in eventghost I need to make this port setting change? Would you like me to post my script?
This would only apply if you were sending commands via the builtin event listening server and not just sending a virtual keystroke on the same machine running OpenPHT.
Eventghost is running locally on my machine that I run OpenPHT on. I’m basically a newbie when it comes to eventghost. I believe it is sending the command only once per button press. I can upload my script if you would like to look at it, i’m sure you’ll get more out of it than I can explain here. But aside from that, if it’s the same script that has been working for so many versions and revisions, the only thing that can be different is specific to this OpenPHT build, right?

I get what you’re chomping at. But I don’t volunteer support EventGhost, I volunteer support OpenPHT. So looking at the keys inside the debug log would be the first place I would look for whether OpenPHT is interpreting 2 key presses. instead of one. So upload a debug log for assistance so we can see what’s happenin’.

try the aeon nox skin see if you have the same problem?
i’ll try it.
i usually use the black skin, i thought it was a problem for that skin. but its the same bug for the default one.

Hi Benjamin, updated my remote buddy and it’s back to normal! Super update

Something in my remote buddy broke, but I fixed it by adding custom actions that correspond to keyboard strokes, instead of the native PHT functions. So I’ve gotten most my functionality back. Thanks for a great updateAppreciate OpenPHT massively

How can i control openPHT with Yatse (3rd party KODI remote app)?.The listening ports were changed to match XMBC/KODIs this version (1.7.x). You may need to update the settings to these ports.
Webserver Port: 3005 (TCP)
EventServer Port: 9777 (UDP)

I would be extremely grateful if a .tar file of the embedded version could be made available. You’ve provided me with these in the past [forums.plex.tv/discussion/216102/dual-boot-with-chrome-os-and-openpht-on-hp-chromebox#latest]) , and this way is the only way I have to be able to upgrade.Which version did you end up using? The generic or the Nvidia legacy?
I used the generic. Thank you so much!!
You’re welcome, I think? Did you get the 1.7.1 TAR file you needed or do you still need it?
Nope I still need it. I was just thanking you in advance

EDIT:
some tests done…it’s correct with Aeon Nox skin. But it fails with default and black edition skin.
the poster F6 and paused item in playback is blank
@Kwiboo & @bkury
There is a bug in current 1.7.1 (and it was a bug also in 1.6.2) that is reproduced as follows:
- Start to play a song by casting via the Plex Android app.
- Minimize OpenPHT (if it is windowed or fullscreen it does not seem to matter)
- After the song is over, and the next song is about to start, OpenPHT hangs.
- Notice that the song that actually played was not picked up by the server correctly (it did not scrobble to lastfm, the artist does not appear as “recently listened” to on Plex dashboard)
Additional info: If music is started from within OpenPHT, all works well, even if minimized. Also, if music is casted from Android and OpenPHT is not minimized, it also works well.
This is 100% reproducible, changing skin does not help.
OS is 32 bit Windows 7.

One more test, in Nox there is a setting for changing the poster type for TV recently added. It defaults to TV posters. Change that setting (skin settings → widgets → Recently Added Episodes Case Type) to Season Posters. Do you still have posters for stacked episodes in Nox after doing that?
Love this project!
1.7.1 crashes out the gate on my 32-bit Mac mini. Posted details here : https://github.com/RasPlex/OpenPHT/issues/172
I’m running latest Open PHT 1.7.1 and latest Aeon Nox 5.3.2. I see in the release notes of this thread that 1.7.1 now supports IMDB ratings? How do I enable that? I’ve got Rotten Tomatoe’s ratings working on movie preplay screens. And it appears that the rating for movies in list view is the tomato meter rating. On movies that don’t have Rotten Tomatoes ratings, it does default to an IMDB rating which it already did before. Was just curious if this was something I could see in addition to RT ratings in the preplay screen or if I have to choose?

you need to change the agent for your movie library’s to the ‘plex movie’ agent and select IMDB as the ratings source,
and then you need to do a “Refresh All” on your whole movie library basically
Oh ok. Already running Plex Movie Agent which is how I’m getting RT ratings. Was just curious if it was possible to somehow view both in the new update. Will stick with RT ratings now that I know that was not the release notes were referring to.
OpenPHT gets the metadata from PMS. PMS only stores one rating (from one source) in the metadata. So showing both isn’t possible.

i think it’s a problem with PMS. Because yesterday i tried several other players (like PMP, old PHT, w10_plex_app and WebUI itself in PMS) and i’m losing poster season, new added episodes poster, etc…
i think i’m not losing nothing in movies and music, but in tv-shows it’s KO.
the thumbs for photos in home screen are gone too.
its nearly 100% a fault in PMS database, cached images, garbage, or i don’t know. And this, i dont know how to fix it…
i have a bckup of the whole %appdata% for PMS a two week ago old…i don’t know if i a restore the whole folder, the bug will disappears,…or perhaps i’m only gonna to delete tv-show library, clean PMS, and adding again.
Advice please!

I fixed it. You were right, it was sending two commands at once, that’s why it kept quickly toggling commands.
Previously, I used to switch between Kodi and PlexHT (because PlexHT didnt support H265 and or local playback) and I had the XBMC commands in there so I could get it to work in Kodi. But then when OpenPHT started supporting everything, I exclusively use just this and forgot those Kodi commands were in there. OpenPHT never used to respond to those kodi commands before but with this build, they do. So that created the issue.
thanks for helping me troubleshoot it, as well as the great work you guys do pushing out updates!

Posters are kept in the bundles, and references to the bundles kept in the database. Have you tried backing up your database and running a vacuum on it? Then do a clean bundles command and vacuum the database again?
Download sqlite3.
Shutdown PMS.
Backup database file: com.plexapp.plugins.library.db
Run the following command only replace the path to match your database directory. Leave in the quotes as is.
sqlite3 “C:\0_PlexDB\com.plexapp.plugins.library.db” "VACUUM;
Wait until the command prompt comes back. Usually no output.
Start PMS.
Clean bundles.
Run Optimize database from PMS.
Refresh All of TV Library.
Test
I just experienced the same issue with the last TV Show library update. I’m exploring it.
Nope, just a corrupted SD card on the rPi. First suggestion is back on. ![]()
