Relentless Buffering Windows Plex Media Player

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395
Player Version#: 3.69.0
This past week I have had some strange problems with the windows 10 plex media player. For some reason, playing files requires near constant buffering. Every few seconds buffering will start for upwards of a minute. This doesn’t seem to happen on the web player but loading is definitely slower than it used to be and should be. In addition, I can no longer get remote access to work and have went through the troubleshooting pages for that to no avail. The media player is on the same computer as the server so I wouldn’t imagine buffering should ever really happen, and indeed it did not used to. I should not be hardware limited as my CPU is an i7-8700k or network limited as I Have speeds around 100 mbps anyways. Any help would be appreciated. Below are logs for both the server and the media player.

I am having the exact same problem as you, with a few slight differences. Sometime within the past week, my Plex Media Player on a Windows 10 HTPC has been unwatchable. All shows and movies will buffer non stop, whether transcoding or using direct play. The difference here is my server is at a remote site on a 1gbit connection, the connect is fine and the server hardware is also fine (i7, etc).

Like you, if I switch to the web player, the show or movie instantly plays and will load 10+ minutes ahead and play flawlessly.

I have a feeling that this is related to the latest server update as it started happening to me today straight after completing the update.

I had been watching without issue prior to the update but, since doing it, the app either constantly states buffering or is unresponsive when trying to continue watching a video or fast-forwarding.
