Remote access always so slow on iOS since it stopped being free

I’ve always accessed my server remotely without any problems via smartphone (iOS). But since this feature stopped being free, I started paying only to have great difficulty accessing my media content via iPhone. It’s always extremely slow! So slow that sometimes I even give up. I use 5G and the connection gets between 300 and 550 Mbps.
Has anyone else been having problems like this?
I think it’s absurd that it used to work just fine when it was free, but then got ruined when this became part of the paid service!

Your mobile download speed isn’t usually the primary limiting factor. That’s more often about your home internet plan‘s upload speed.

What information is showing in the “now playing” tile for that playback on the Plex server dashboard? Specifically, is the stream from your remote iPad listed as Remote or Indirect?

The stream from my remote iPhone is listed as Indirect. Is that a problem?
The server upload speed goes from 90 to 110 Mbps.
Even for the app to load the libraries (there are four of them) so I can at least see their content list it takes usually about two or three minutes. And this started happening on the very same day I got the paid version so I could keep the remote access available.
There was no problem like this before this change.

Indirect means that the client can’t establish a direct connection to your server. The stream is therefore passed through a Plex Relay server – those relayed connections are limited to 1 Mbps (2 Mbps for Plex Pass members).

You probably need to review your remote access setup to see what might be causing this.
