Remote access constantly gets disabled

Server Version#: 1.20.2.3402
Player Version#: ¯_(ツ)_/¯

As the title says remote access constantly gets disabled. And it doens’t even matter what the problem is, because the solution is simple. The server is capable of telling me that there’s no remote access, it has a button for me to press to retry. So how about instead of this actually being a problem and having to go press a button every so often, it just automatically does this when there’s no remote access? Does exactly take a genius to think of this does it?
Oh and in case you’re wondering about “what if you manually disable remote access?”, it’s called a flag.

Hope this gets fixed really soon, because I’m pretty sick and tired of it.

It does check this, but only every few hours. If your remote access keeps shutting down, something else is going on. Are you using UPnP? I find that often breaks. Change to a manual port forward and you should have better results.

I just upgraded to a higher quality Netgate pfSense router to replace a Linksys WRT1900AC. The WRT1900AC didn’t have any problem keeping the UPnP firewall rules alive. The pfSense exhibits the same symptom you experience - at least with the settings I tried. So after playing around with it and knowing it is not really that hard to make a forward rule, I ended up making my own rule which works fine. I suggest you look at the router settings, and probably the easiest, and most secure way, is simply to specify your own rule. This would also eliminate any IoT devices on your network from abusing UPnP and breaching your security without you knowing (at least to some extent).
