Remote access no longer working

My remote access stopped working. I verified the port is open with two different testers, but still don’t get anything. I tried disabling windows firewall but that didn’t seem to make a difference.


I am having a real problem with disabled access too (all in the last couple of days). It is enabled and then within 5 or 6 hours, it disables. Sometimes, disable/enable will restore, but sometimes it just has to sit for an hour. I would love to hear from others with similar problems.

All the “requirements” for this to work (router, UPnP, etc.) are all in place and it does WORK! …But the stability is just not there. I have implemented manual port forwarding to try and get stability.

it worked fine for me too, then I am having the same issue as you. I disabled the remote access then re-enable and it shows green for 1 second then bam red.

UPnP is flakey at best… always port manually.
Mine has been manually ported since 2013(possibly longer) and I have never lost my remote connection… Unless internet was down.
I have seen the cosmetic bug wherein plex shows as not available outside my network, however I connected perfectly.
