On my server it states, “Fully accessible
outside your network” but on a remote player
it says, “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to
<my_server> securely.” I cannot see my
libraries from a remote player. Apart from a
newer version of the server nothing has
changed and it used to work flawlessly. Any
help/guidance that can be offered to rectify
this situation would be greatly appreciated!
I am having the same issue. I updated to Server Ver 1.41.0.8994 on Synology NAS.
Remote access says it is fully accessable outside your network and I can access it from my phone using Plexamp. I also have Secure connections set to Preferred.
It only gives the “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to
<my_server> securely” when I try and access from my windows machine using Firefox, Edge or the Windows Plex APP.
It was all working fine until the update. I have also tried port forwarding 34200 through my router with no success.
All works fine from internal network, nothing from internet.
Hopefully some one will have an answer.
I just checked the logs and am seeing CERT: incomplete TLS handshake from [fd00::81f8:d610:aae3:b1e]:64862: sslv3 alert bad certificate (SSL routines)
In my case plexamp is also not reaching my library (but at least for now that’s not bothersome — I don’t use it very often at all). The failing clients are on Windows machines as well as MacOS machines. I’ll try to recall to check my own logs when I get home, but I’m certain this problem existed with (some) earlier versions of the server version. In fact, I installed the latest one to try to fix the problem (but obviously that did not work).
